Monday Morning . . .

This weekend brought quite a bit of stress: after my sister's recent car accident (she's fine!) totaled the car, we had to go car shopping, and seven hours after arriving at the dealership, we left with a car, and my sister left with a brand-spanking-new car payment; I had a fitting for a dress with a client that ended up not fitting her, but because of schedule crunches I had to make it work that day, as she had to leave with it; Mother's Day plans fell through; and I had to get a hat done somehow with no time and less motivation. On top of all this, the weather has turned chilly, with frost advisories and cold seeping in around window frames and through spring jackets.

So, this morning, in spite of the cold and the slight exhaustion, I am going to embrace Monday with both hands and leave the stressful weekend behind. There is a lot to look forward to, after all:
-A short week, as Naperville this weekend means I have a day off Friday
-The weather should be warming up come Wednesday
-Memorial Day is approaching, with a very long weekend packed with fun things

So, goodbye stressful weekend! Monday is here, and anything could happen this week!

I hope you will get better sooner than you seem to think likely ! The things you make are lovely and some times ago you, among other talented seamstress, inspired me to learn how to sew. I now do most of my clothes and hope I will become talented enough to start making beautiful dresses and hats like you do !

Thanks for the encouragement! There are good days and bad days, but I'm hanging in there;)
