So I signed up for my first 5k yesterday.
Eeep.
I know I can do it; I average about 1.5 miles in 20 minutes, so, if I don't get too tired or throw up, I should be able to do it in an hour and a half, or so. Still, it scares me a little. I spent much of the last 25 years or so convinced I wasn't strong enough to handle something like this; it's only been recently that I've begun to find my own physical limits and capabilities. I'm sure I'll be tired and sore afterwards, I'm sure it will be a helluva challenge. But, I'm going to push myself anyway.
We never know what we can do until we try.
*This doesn't count for my 40 Before 40 list; it isn't for a cause, just a corporate challenge 5k deal!
