It's Election Day, and while it's not a Big One, like, say, to elect the next President, every Election Day is a time to exercise the rights that were so dearly bought by our predecessors. Women were beaten, imprisoned, institutionalized, force-fed, starved, raped, and demonized for fighting for the Nineteenth Amendment, giving us the same right to vote that our husbands, brothers, and fathers had. So, get out there and punch a ballot, ladies! It may only be for the next water reclamation board president, but it still strikes a chord that rings all the way back to our suffragette sisters.
