Winter has always been tough for me: the cloudy days, the cold, the snow and ice, the relentless wind and wearing layers upon layers and yet still chattering my teeth. But, being out here, I feel like my core is unfolding like a lotus and I'm just smiley for absolutely no reason. The sun is shining everyday. You never need more than a light jacket.
I always knew I hated the cold, but I never realized how much I belonged here. I guess I'm really lucky I realized it now, and not after more frozen winters . . .
