Favorite Site Tuesdays: Untamed Menagerie

This week's favorite is a new find: Untamed Menagerie. Featuring the work of mother/daughter Tennessee artists Nikki and Penny, Untamed Menagerie is the most delicate and exquisite steel and acrylic silhouette jewelry. I was instantly in love.

Everything from design to name to presentation of the pieces is starkly beautiful. Visit Untamed Menagerie and I dare you not to walk away with one of their incredible necklaces, earrings, or brooches. I'm certainly eyeing a few myself;)

Favorite Site Tuesdays: Woodland Belle

This week's favorite site is one I've been wanting to feature for some time: Woodland Belle. The tiny pieces of whimsical loveliness are the work of North Carolina artist Mai McKemy. I must say, I am simply enchanted by her miniature terrariums, twig hairpins, and itty bitty mounted butterflies.

The tiny morpho butterfly, my favorite species, really gets me. So sweet.

This would definitely make people look twice. Why don a huge plastic flower when you could wear something like this?

I love these, for obvious reasons. I can just see these nestled in my hair everyweekend, more appropriate than the standard bobby pins I usually use and try to hide.

This is one of my favorites. I have always said that if I had the means I would amass a huge collection of lepidoptera; I have two varieties of morpho already. I would wear this necklace nearly everyday, I think;)

Stop by Woodland Belle and peruse her lovely work; I know you'll be as enchanted by it as I am.

Favorite Site Tuesdays: White Owl

This week's favorite site has been on my radar for a little while, and I'm so happy to feature their work today: White Owl! These two sisters combine old and new materials to create beautiful, ecelectic and unique necklaces and earrings. You know me, I'm all about the vintage, and they use flea market finds, estate sales, and even materials from their Grandmother to produce these lovely lace pieces.

I love the photography on this site too! Those old books and worn surfaces mixed with keys and photographs and such: heaven. Stop by White Owl, and if you're anything like me, I dare you to leave without buying something!

Favorite Site Tuesdays(on Wednesday!): Lizzie B Designs!

This week's favorite site (a little late!) is Lizzie B Designs. Y'all know by now how crazy I am about organic-looking, nature-inspired jewelry. Someone once told me it had to with my being a Sag . . . I don't know if I believe stars can influence my style choices, but I do know what I like, and I like these pieces. Simply beautiful jewelry with natural stones and a very chic sensibility.

How gorgeous is that Peruvian opal? And, I'm all about leaves and feathers right now, for some reason.

Yeah; I might have to get these. Pearls get me every time.

I am an unabashed fan of aquamarine, and these faceted stones are just lovely. Simple and unfussy.

I've seen a lot of people doing lotus necklaces lately, but few with this attention to detail. Look at the pearls on either side of the clasp; simply fabulous.

What are you waiting for? You know you want to stop by Lizzie B Designs. Go ahead: browse, click, heart, buy;)

Etsy Week Feature: Lara Lewis

Lara Lewis has been a favorite of mine for quite a while; her jewelry designs have a vintage feel while still being modern and playful. She often uses vintage pieces in her designs, like buttons, glass stones, and filigrees, but her composition has one toe firmly planted in the now. I love her sense of whimsy, and I could go broke in her store;)

Briar Rose Necklace

Estate Earrings, Peridot

Magpie No. 28

She also has some original prints for sale, and the sweetest set of gift tags featuring her art:

They make me want to make my own soaps or something, just so I can have something to put them on;)
Check out her store and take a look at her blog too; if you aren't poorer by the time you leave, it won't be my fault;)

Etsy Week Feature: Mu-Yin Jewelry

Peach Nest Pearl Ring

One of my favorite Etsy Jewelry destinations is Mu-Yin's store, Mu-Yin Jewelry. She makes lovely wire-wrapped creations utilizing gemstones and beautiful fresh-water pearls in delicate and fabulous colors, like the peach pearl above. I myself purchased her unique and lovely free-form nest ring, with tiny seed pearls orbiting the larger one in the center, and I get endless compliments and "where did you get that?" requests. I'm glad to send people over to her, especially fellow pearl-lovers like myself;)

Gardenia Blossom Cocktail Ring

Pussy Willow Branch Wire Wrap Necklace

Lake Teal Blue Apatite Lariat Necklace
I love the new gardenia ring; can I get away with something so large and ostentatious for the everyday? I say, why not! It's a limited edition, so if you like it, get it now!
