Inspiring . . .

Carolyn Dowdell at the University of Alberta recently completed her thesis, and the results are astonishing. Over five months, working only by natural or candle-light and dressed in full period garb, she hand-sewed several 18th Century garments using completely period appropriate techniques! She deserves major kudos; I can't even imagine working on a sacque-back without a machine!
