Dead Can Dance . . .

Happy Dia de los Muertos! I know that sounds like a weird thing to say, but for this Mexican holiday, you really do celebrate the dead. Tracing its origins all the way back to an Aztec Festival dedicated to Mictecacihuatl, Queen of the Underworld, on Dia de los Muertos, people celebrate with sugar skulls and marigolds and altars to those loved ones they've lost, ending the day at gravesides. But it's not about being sad, really. Dia de los Muertos is full of bright colors and food and life.

So celebrate life today, and remember loved ones who've gone before.
